The title of the collection that crowned my course of study is Renaissance and it represents the last phase of my trilogy projects. The attention during the research was focused on Jason deCaires Taylor - a sculptor, environmentalist and professional underwater photographer - more precisely to his underwater statues parks.
BACHELOR GRADUATION COLLECTION
The statues are built using neutral pH materials to instigate natural growth and the subsequent ways that aim to explore the aesthetics of decay, metamorphosis and rebirth. In fact, contrary to the entropic process typically associated with the corrosive tendencies of the ocean, Taylor's pieces encourage organisms to grow, resurrecting the statues from their previous inert condition.
This is the attitude that the character reflects in this new phase: a complete symbiosis with nature, seen as an enrichment, a positive transformation that becomes a whole between soul and body.
